Magnificent Son

It’s a rare thing to hear a teen, or twenty-something son compliment their mother-but that’s just what happened this week. Attending a banquet for hospice volunteers, this magnificent son spoke before the entire group about how his mother’s passion for hospice care had changed his life. Thinking the decision to work in this arena weird at first, he saw how her work made his mother a happier, more whole person. This challenged his whole family to live from loving authenticity, and for that he was exceedingly grateful. Profound words for such a young man, but then, he already knew he had a great mother for guidance….
