Man-gel Single Dads

Many of my long-time male friends are now single fathers of a daughter. I have found myself disarmed by the level of gentle devotion these men extend to their girls on a day to day basis. They have done their best to learn to braid long hair, explore the world of Hello Kitty, and to love the color pink. The back seat of the car is covered with crayons and markers. They worry about who they bring home to meet their daughter and how another adult woman may affect an already bumpy childhood.
Dads and daughters have always had a special connection. Watching dads double as moms with complete abandon has raised them to man-gel status. And the added bonus? They are raising girls who will expect to be treated as well by their future mates!
